Panel and Pole stands are usually of a friction fit system-combining velour covered honeycomb board panels with plastic or metal poles. The system has limited structural integrity (defined as the science and technology of the margin between safety and disaster). This system has to be designed to withstand the service conditions with designs which need to be shaped to be self supporting and where possible to limit the load bearing stresses of heavy items. They lend themselves very well to being fully clad in graphics and have a flexibility of shape, which allows for an almost limitless arrangement of layouts and orientations. Not recommended for structures over 3.5m. Most commonly available makes include Marler Hayley, Mark Bric, Nobo and Smart most use Quinton & Kaines honeycomb board as a background substrate.
