Events come in all shapes and sizes. We have designed a wide range from theatrical events, environmental installations, from themed conference sets to performance art pieces. The past has seen us design a medieval castle installed in two and a half days, a James Bond pastiche with characters chasing each other across sets ranging from an aircraft to a jungle in Borneo, to the bridge of a ship. We designed and installed a walkthrough visitor attraction, which included scenes on a North Sea oilrig, TV mixing studio and embarking onboard a ship tethered at the dock of a major ferry port. The budget does not have to be large to achieve a fun presence. The solutions have been as simple as a 3m cube Christmas present in a shopping centre, a mad hatter’s tea party, a giant Christmas cracker, or a lighthouse on a Caribbean beach.

The integration of lighting effects, film and TV as well as video and slide projection with the use of sound can be designed into the presentation from the outset. This ensures that maximum effect is achieved through the careful use of discreet effects. The large theatrical presentations often pose the greatest design challenges, whilst logistical issues need resolving when combining technical elements with transportation and labour practices in foreign locales.
