A room setting for Hilton Luxor Hotel. The design was for this 13m x 7.5m room in the south corridor at ExCel during World Travel Market.

The entrance vestibule was designed to recreate an ancient Egyptian tomb, whilst the main body of the room showed a vista of feluccas sailing past on the Nile as seen from the hotel’s riverside terrace. The aim here was to recreate the unique Hilton Luxor terrace experience for all the visitors to World Travel Market.

In the entrance vestibule the design used flambeaux torches and Egyptian sarcophagus statues. In the main body of the room we added palm trees, cane furniture, a bar and props as used at the actual hotel, with plasma screens for rolling video displays and a shiatsu massage point.

The entire room was dressed including platforming the floor of the room with terracotta effect vinyl to hide the carpet of the suite. The walls were stock timber walls completely decorated with special a high resolution inkjet print of the views and hieroglyphics of the tomb for the vestibule.
